it is about time to re-introduce you kids with real death metal that was shaping this extreme music genre back in early nineties: ultimate debut longplay [1991] of hands down legendary Dutch with classic power trio line-up, fronted by the left-handed beast himself, Martin van Drunen [ex.Pestilence], is a milestone of all things savage, primeval, instinctive and unpolished, slashing the wrists of humanity with nine relentless and insane attacks, altered by lethal doomy passages; music is dominated by filthy, massive guitar riffs, while low-tuned, harsh tone creates utterly grim atmosphere, at the same time highlighting the oppressive wall of sound within rhythm section, reminiscent of the breath of a grave, where Martin's vocals, filled with hatred and despair, become an instrument of their own, giving this bloody journey a dark aura of authenticity; German edition is updated with a remastered sound and complete eleven song live set from 1991's performance in Holland as bonus
