It deals with teen angst more than politics, but Pete Shelley sings and writes it in a way that is highly believable and very effective.This collection lays out considerable evidence for Buzzcocks to be beatified as patron saints of the pop-punk genre.I can't imagine most of the 90s pop-punk explosion existing without their influence.If you want to expand your punk rock collection beyond Ramones and The Clash, this is the logical place to go next, and Buzzcocks just might be better than either.
