legendary sophomore longplay [1993] by angry, determined and focused Swedish death metal purveyors, like the provoking debut, screams forth the neverending intensity and die-hard attitude, also introducing a slight move towards catchy paradigm and technicality of performance, delighting with deep, infernally refined harmonies, while compositions become more memorable and sharpened by decisive moments, organically linking fundamental rhythmics, refined dissonances, bleak tremolo lines and subtle dynamic shifts, significantly focusing on the depth of sound and its intense character - 'Pleasure of Molestation', 'Inferior Devoties' and the title track are all time classics of the genre, not to forget Venom 'Black Metal' cover; recent German edition comes with sound remastered by J-F Dagenais [Kataklysm]
