PINK FLOYD - DAVID BOWIE
Pinky Dory - Numbered & Colored
* Brand new. Factory sealed *

The bootleg label Trade Mark Of Quality simultaneously releases two colored and limited edition split albums (100 numbered copies) with rare material, dedicating one side to David Bowie and one to Pink Floyd. In the second volume entitled Pinky Dory, the first side collects Bowie's demo Silver Tree Top School For Boys (1967) and other early career material: Little Bombardier, recorded at the end of 1966, was included the following year in his debut album David Bowie; Even A Fool Learns To Love, 1968, is his English translation of Claude François's very famous Comme d'habitude, which became My Way in Frank Sinatra's version; I'll Follow You was recorded in 1965 under the name Davy Jones with The Lower Third but released only in 1991, while Bars Of The County Jail is a demo from May/June 1965. The second side opens with a cover of Frankie Lymon & the Teenagers' Why Do Fools Fall In Love recorded by Jokers Wild, David Gilmour's first group, who also wrote the English lyrics for two French songs by Michel Magne translated with the titles Do You Want To Marry Me and I Must Tell You Why (recorded in 1967 by the future Pink Floyd member for the soundtrack of the French film À Cœur Joie, aka Two Weeks in September, starring Brigitte Bardot); closing the tracklist are the 7-inches released in Germany of Arnold Layne and There Is No Other Day, aka See Emily Play, both featuring Syd Barrett.
